Howdy all! I'm so happy and grateful at how many folks have chosen to join me on this journey as I slowly disentangle myself from Meta, Twitter, and the other billionaire-owned platforms. I never wanted to be a "content creator" or "influencer" or any of that crap; I just like throwing good parties and having fun together with my community. That's all of you. <3
Lots of you have signed up for this email to keep up to date on my gigs and events, and I'll have plenty of news below on that front. Quite a few have also chosen to get plugged into the new community Discord server I setup, where we have plenty of discussions going across a huge range of topics (mostly silly ones lol) and where I now share my adorable Orion photos. Happy HardCare
This month's "Happy HardCare" livestream will take place on Saturday, February 8th, to benefit the "Power Up Ukraine" fund, which delivers solar panels, generators, and other distributed energy solutions to hospitals and children's facilities in Ukraine. Tune in from 3 to 5 pm Eastern on Twitch.
Upcoming DJ Shows
I'm performing on Sunday, February 9th at Dufferin Grove Skating Rink for a family-friendly skating event hosted by the city of Toronto! Grab your skates and join me for some groovy dance tunes with lots of pop and 80s/90s/2000s remixes. Event runs from noon til 4pm.
I'm also performing on Friday, February 14th (also known as Valentine's Day, also known as Redacted's Birthday) for Happy Heart Core! The event takes place at Tapestry (224 Augusta) and there's a fantastic lineup all night long! Come spend the night with people you love!
On March 15th, I'm playing "Do You Love Your Hardcore #1", also at Tapestry! I'm digging deep into the archives for some classic jams and some unreleased tunes I've never played out before, so be sure not to miss it!
Upcoming Events
Due to the provincial and federal early election calls, I'm no longer planning any events of my own until after May, when I expect them to wrap up. I recently took a contract running advocacy campaigns for Queer Momentum, helping to fight back against the tide of anti-trans and anti-queer legislation, and that means election time is ultra-busy for me. Raves will have to take a backseat.
However, stay tuned for announcements about:
- A summer series of family-friendly, daytime raves in parks across Toronto;
- A boat rave (yesssss!);
- A Labour Day weekend special event;
- The rescheduled Vinyl Fantasy event series
